Sheriff Hutchison Wins Election

Sheriff Hutchison would like to thank all those who have supported him for Sheriff over the years. With the help of the great men and women at KCSO, the agency has made great strides in protecting the citizens of Knox County, reducing crimes and response times.

Sheriff Hutchison was elected to an unprecedented 5th term in 2006 making him the longest serving Sheriff in the history of Knox County (est.1792). In 2007 the Tennessee Supreme Court placed term limits on Countywide Officials in Knox County. Sheriff Hutchison managed over 1000 employees and a budget over $55 Million. Sheriff Hutchison stayed on at the Sheriff’s Office as an Assistant Chief after the term limits were imposed. He retired later after serving 33 years at the Sheriff’s Office.
